I lost my proprioception as an adult (39 years) as a result of damage to my cerebellum from a craniotomy and brain tumor. Compensating for impaired proprioception requires a significant mental effort (e.g. Maintaining my balance when walking) and causes me great fatigue. I see few medical journals and articles that make this association, but I consider it a MAJOR (and "disabling") component of my impairment. I would like to see more studies about impaired proprioception/ataxia and fatigue.
