I really hate the way children and childish behaviour is being so closely scrutinised Kids are being labelled and stigmatised from an early age and worse than that many are put on harsh mind altering drugs which can cause terrible side effects such as diabetes, liver and kidney disorders and even sudden death !!

All this has come from America where many psychiatrists and doctors have a vested interest in the huge drug companies Childhood is NOT a disease and these poor kids are not being given the chance to grow and mature naturally The first sign of any unruly behaviour and they are refered to psychologists and psychiatrists I personally think it amounts to child abuse All kids misbehave and do silly things It is natural They are only children and their brains are only just developing .

All kids are unique No person is the same so doctors must stop this catergarise and drug method This is not being a good doctor It is damaging the long term health of children worldwide

I defy anyone to try dressing a child who's being "aggressed" by her clothes before passing a judgment on what's normal and what's not...

The treatment for SPD is occupational therapy.... no one is prescribed medication for this. The disorder is not an excuse for bad behavior, but is an explanation. Helping our kids learn to cope through the lens of SPD makes all the difference.

I totally agree with you. My grandchildren have been diagnosed with SPD. Now that seems to be an excuse for not going to the potty. Will they be medicated for this--NO.
