New siblings

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter with SPD. She is doing really well or I guess I should say we are doing well since she was diagnosed and we are knowledgeable on the subject. She loves babies and we are thinking of having another child, but we don't know how she will deal it. Would it be a mistake to even think about having another baby? We don't want to do anything to mess up her progress.

I agree, if you want more children, by all means go for it. I have a daughter with SPD who has done very well with her siblings. I believe it actually helped her to have siblings. She has had to learn to be much more tolerant and patient, but it also gives her someone to play with who she can be herself with. It can definitely be challenging, but is also definitely worth it.

Go for it!

I have a 3 and 1/2 year old son who has SPD and a 12 month old. My SPD kid loves his little brother even though it was an adjustment for him. It is an adjustment for any child with or without SPD. I would say go for it if it's what you really want. Just keep up with OT and sensory diet and continue doing whatever you are doing to help with her sensory issues. Good luck!
