My son is 8 1/2 and has SPD and now I am sure he needs to be evaluated for Dysgraphia. I am positive he has it and it is causing major problems at school.

Its possible. SPD can be a stand alone diagnosis, or can co-exist with a Learning Disorder like Dysgraphia. His pediatrician should be able to refer you to a specialist who is familiar with SPD if you suspect that he has sensory issues.
