Multiple symptoms- some contradict each other

My son seems to have many of the symptoms, but some contradict each other. For example, he is fearful of heights and unexpected movements, but he is constantly on the move, jumping, kicking, spinning, and falling.
Also, he seeks out physical touch from loved ones, but is very sensitive to tags on clothes, and doesn't like to touch "gross" things.
Is that common with SPD?
