Insect Bites

We have recently moved to Australia from the UK. I have a 6 year old son with Sensory Integration Dysfunction. He has had a few green ant bites which he is not used to. They do hurt but he is over-reacting to it. He doesn't want to listen to our suggestions on how to treat it. He squeezes the area where it hurts and holds a towel over it. He suggested he needed a band-aid or a sock. Just wondered how to deal with this in future. He doesn't like the word exercise anymore.

My son is 38 months old. He has been seen by our Regional Center for autism testing when he was 20 months old. He was given OT and speech therapy (for
