Help

I cant find any help for my child who is 7 now. We have been dealing with this for years. Her doctors, school- no help at all!! Im trying to get her in Occupational Therapy, I cant find one in my area- either she is too old now or they just dont work with kids. I dont know what to do anymore, winter is coming- the girl can hardly even wear clothes. Any clues about what steps I should take next??

The school doesn't offer OT? Have you submitted a written requested an OT eval to the school department?? If her pediatrician isnt listen keep at it I pretty much had to tell mine... Listen I know what I am talking give me a referral. Also Have you read the book The Out-of-Sync Child? It is super helpful and they also have The Out-of-Sync Child Has Fun they have soo many ideas in it.

As far as the clothing my son has so many issue with different types of clothing. I have just found the types of materials he likes and bought a ton for pants in it. My biggest fear is next year when he goes to kindergarten and has to wear a uniform. HTH

I'm so new to this but see it in my grandson. Perhaps if you could find a material she likes next to her skin you can use it as the bottom layer of heavier clothes.
I find it hard to believe so many questions go unanswered by more experienced people!
