Flipping sand, dirt, and mulch in the air to watch it fall.

There is an almost 4 year-0ld in our preschool classroom that likes to flip sand, mulch, and dirt up in the air to watch it fall.
He will also pour whatever is in the sensory table over his head. There must be a reason for all of this... he will also knock down classmates block/ LEGO structures to watch them fall.
