My son is 17 years old and has Angelman Syndrome. I've often wondered if he has difficulty in sight perception as he has difficulty negotiating steps, uneven ground and changes of surface, eg, from path to lawn. He will overstep, miss steps, lift his leg high to take steps where there aren't any steps. However, his eyesight seems fine according to the opthamologist and it's not a physical difficulty that the physio could help us with. She suggested if might be a sensory processing problem. Is this the likely cause and if so, how or who can help him please?
