Diagnosis for my 5yr old son

Hello,

My beautiful little boy"s MDO teacher provided me with The Out of Sync book and talked to me about SPD. That was a year ago. Since then I've been watching him trying to work on what is in the book and crying a LOT.

I have it too. I am classic SPD. I had horribly misunderstood childhood.

I'm ready to get my son the help he should have had sooner. I talked to his pediatrician about concerns and a diagnosis and she said it's probably just ADD or OCD... um no. (Hitting head against wall)

Can anyone recommend what I can do. I don't want my son misdiagnosed and pumped up with meds.
