Can a child have Sensory Processing Disorder as a stand alone condition? Or does it always Co-exist with something else?

Can be stand alone

My son has SPD as a stand alone condition so yes it can definitely be there all on it's own.

Stand-Alone
by: Jessi

As far as I know, it's very common as a stand-alone issue. My son was diagnosed with it as well as a speech/language disorder and developmental delay. But he does not have Autism or Aspergers or those types of problems that are often associated with SPD.

SPD can be a stand alone disorder. My son, Anthony, only has SPD he does not have any other disorders.
