My 6 year old has oral hyposensitivity. We have done x-Rays and her throat function is fine. No one seems to think this is a problem. The ENT said she is fine and her Ped is too busy to bother. She functions fine and is "normal" in every other sense. She chokes on food and pockets food. I'm concerned that she is going to seriously choke one day. Another concern is that the inside of her cheeks are all scabbed up all the time because she bites them. She usually can't feel it but she's biting to the point of blood. It's not normal. Anyone have any advice. I don't even know where to start. 😔
