Car seat & SPD

Hello was wondering if you have any tips for child with sensory issues? She is 7 & is autistic. Does not like seat belts or car seats.




Recently tried a 4 point harness however she is still uncomfortable. Were using a booster seat prior to that. She does not unbuckle it yet but pulls it away from her body with hands & feet as well as slides down in seat.

We have the same issue with our 4 yr old, she also wants to be nude in the car seat, but won't actually sit her bottom down on the seat itself. So mostly we stay home.

I would love some strategies that worked for people. We have tried bribes and new fabric etc. feeling lost.

Would love to know what you discovered. I have a child with SPD and cannot get her to be in a carseat either. We've tried booster, 5 point harness.

She wants to be naked without a car seat. The feeling of the pad on the carseat bothers her with her clothes on. And the straps also bother her. So tough.
