I understand your page is focusing on early intervention w/young children & will understandably be parent-centered, but there are thousands if not millions of us out here, trying to figure out what the next step is in re-claiming our lives.

Adults and teens with debilitating sensory issues exist! I am a 'high functioning' individual who, because I have learned to hide any symptoms of autism or SPD, am expected to be able to get over it and just be fine. To stop overreacting to noise and touch. To stop fidgeting or stimming. There are so many of us out here that feel alienated and lost because there are no resources for us.

SPD shouldn't be perpetuated as a child's disorder exclusively. I love this website and have felt validated from hearing about other's experiences, but it is important to know that it's not just little children that struggle. We exist too.

I agree. There's so much support for children and still not much for adults who have fallen through the cracks their entire lives
