Adult has a question about Bipolar Disorder and Manifestation of Pain
I am an adult with SPD (personally diagnosed, when I went to all of these websites and said, 'aha!' that is what I have! It was like the hallelujah choir was singing in my head.
Anyway, my question is whether it is possible that my physical issues could be manifestations of my SPD...such as stomach tightness and tummy aches, which feel a bit like anxiety, but usually occur when I am hungry or when I have just eaten. I also get headaches, which I know for a fact are directly related to the painful light that is entering my eyes all day. Night time is my only friend. ;)
Other symptoms I have are a severe sensitivity to bright lights, harsh smells (and even nice smells), a VERY HIGHLY developed body awareness, in that I know what is going on in every part of my body at all times, as if It were a robot and I were running the controls and diagnostics. Loud noises and crowds really bother me and I avoid them as much as possible. I like to be alone as much as I can..
I have been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, though I question now whether I have it, at this point. My life has been a string of depression after depression with nary a manic episode thrown in, so I am not sure what to believe.
Currently I am a woman who is undergoing over a year of fatigue- perhaps two years- and I just want to get out of this place I am in and be back the way I was. :(
So back to my question: Can theses SPD symptoms cause physical complications to manifest, such as when I am having trouble with lights or food or whatever, they will give me a tummy ache or a head ache or both?
Thanks!
