13 yr old won't sleep in bed

My 13 yr old daughter refuses to sleep in bed. She does have NLD and likes everything just so but this is a bit much. She had a couch in her room we had to take out because whe would sleep on it everynight. She has bed made neatly and doesn't want to mess it by getting into it. I try to make her and she freaks out????

do u know why she wont sleep on it ask her detailed questions like y dont u want it messy how does it make u feel when its messy by asking her these questions i bet youll find the perfect solution to your problem

I was letting her sleep on it here and there. This has been going on for about 5 months now. Between the couch and sleeping on the floor I just worry about how uncomfortable it is, her back and just wanting her to be getting a good nights sleep. I do pick my battles and let most things go but I'm almost afraid if I let it go and she never sleeps in her bed she won't out grow this. Three nights ago I made her get into bed and she has been getting into it on her own last two nights :)

Hi there,

I have a question: if she sleeps well on the little couch in her room and its not hurting her, why not let her?

It may be something she just needs to grow out of in her own time.

Just a thought.
