Why can't I touch fluffy or soft textures?
by Aurora
I as a Child could not stand touching anything fluffy, or excessively soft. I hated puffy things, such as my coat and would scream or cry if I had to touch them.
My texture issues still haven't faded. I still can't touch anything fluffy or soft such as fleece or fake fur. I can touch living things such as cats and dogs but anything else furry freaks me out.
My doctor has told me that I just have extra sensitive touch receptors so some things feel uncomfortable. My cousin also has a similar problem except she has it at a much more extreme level. She attempts to claw at her own skin in hopes that she will get rid of the bad texture she has felt.
I was wondering if you know why all of this is?
