Recently turned 65, losing my depth perception
by Sandra
(Canada)
Have undergone numerous tests, specialists in neurology and vision have not been able to determine what is the cause of my loss of ability, over the last several years, to gauge depth. As a result, I continually drop and knock over things as I reach for and try to grasp anything from small to large. Well, I go through a lot of dishes, as I drop or knock them over as I reach for them.
It would seem that I have a problem with proprioception, it has not started to effect any other part of my body other than my hands. Is anyone aware of a condition that might be a subgroup that causes such degeneration most likely brought on as a result of aging?
