Potty Training

My 3 yr old son has issues with overstimulating sights and sounds. He can only handle so much before he has a meltdown. He is also sensory seeking as well.
He goes to therapy once a week and he has a sensory diet at home. He was doing really well with his potty training and then all of a sudden he has refused to go potty. I know that forcing them to go is not a good idea.
I've tried stickers, but that doesn't work anymore. I would praise him every time he went as well.
Do children with sensory processing disorder have a harder time with potty training? I don't know if I should wait a few more months or try another method.
